Norwich Art Shop hosts Roanna Seekings (RBA) and Kate Walker together for the first time in this month’s window display.
Together they have responded to the window space, combining independent works united by depicting the interface between preparing and completing an exhibition of work, developed through dialogue. Roanna’s cast hands delicately provide a platform for Kate’s copper painting, initiating a conversation between sculpture and painting and how art works can support each other, both literally and metaphorically.
Kate’s current work explores copper through Fine Art practice, and speaks of East Anglia’s evocative marsh and reed bed landscapes. While these works nod to a more traditional painting platform, they also sit close to the boundary between figurative and abstract art.
